🌱🌸 Robbinsdale Elementary's May Community Day 🌸🌱
This May, our students came together for a special Community Day filled with growth, both literally and figuratively! 🌿
Our community time began with a read-aloud of *The Tiny Seed* by Eric Carle, a story that teaches us about resilience, growth, and the power of potential. After the reading, students planted their own seeds, symbolizing the growth of their dreams and goals. 🌱
In line with our vision of *Growing Leaders Through Excellence*, every student made a leadership pledge, committing to values that will help them grow into strong, successful leaders in our school and beyond. ✨
It was a wonderful day filled with community, growth, and the spirit of excellence. We’re so proud of our students for embracing their leadership potential and for making this Community Day one to remember!

Happy Principal Appreciation to our amazing principal, Mrs. Keeney! She embarked on a fun scavenger hunt around the school! With clever clues leading her to various spots, Mrs. Keeney visited different people and places, collecting little gifts and letters along the way. As she unscrambled the letters, it became clear that her main gift was a symbol of our gratitude for her unwavering support and dedication. We are so grateful to have Mrs. Keeney as our guiding light! Thank you for everything you do for our students, families, and staff. You truly make Robbinsdale a special place! #KeeneyDay #PrincipalAppreciation #RobbinsdaleRocks #GrowLeadExcel

🎶 Celebrating Success at the Music Memory Festival! 🎶
Our Roadrunners had an incredible morning at the RCAS Elementary City-Wide Music Memory Festival! Our students listened to the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra perform excerpts of various pieces, identifying the song titles, pieces, and composers.
A huge shoutout to our 3rd and 4th grade team for their outstanding performance, scoring 100% in both the primary and challenge rounds! Way to go Parker, Gracelyn, Elijah, Melody, and Fiona! Our 5th grade team matched that achievement, also scoring 100% in both rounds. Nice work Waylon, Adit, Jackson, Christian, and Alayia! Adit was also recognized being a third year Music Memory participant.
The students not only enjoyed listening to the orchestra but also had the opportunity to perform "Viva la Musica" alongside them! They were entertained by several guest performances and even treated to a performance by the RCAS music teachers.
This excellent experience enhances music appreciation and builds lifelong skills in listening, teamwork, and critical thinking. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Kelly, for her dedication and commitment to our students’ success. Special thanks to our team parents for their support. Thank you to Mrs. Tharp for capturing the moments through photos, and to Ms. Harris and Mrs. Combs for serving as exam correctors.

🌍 **Robbinsdale Earth Day Community Day** 🌱
Today was a shining example of our mission—**building community, reaching goals, and celebrating success**—in action!
Our amazing students came together for our monthly Community Day, showing their commitment to our planet and one another. With gloves on and smiles wide, students picked up trash around the neighborhood, taking pride in keeping our community clean and beautiful.
Inside, the celebration continued with a creative Earth Day craft that reminded us all of the importance of protecting our planet. And of course, no Earth Day would be complete without **dirt pudding**—a sweet and messy treat that had everyone smiling!
We're so proud of our students for their hard work, teamwork, and care for the world around them. 🌎💚 Today, we didn’t just clean up—we came together, made a difference, and had fun along the way.
